I created definitions—sets of algorithms —with variable inputs that would spit out pieces of furniture ready for production.
I opted to focus on engineered woods, for their lower costs and availability, and wrote a couple of guides to help my clients choose their materials and finishes.
From here, it is easy to export a new version of a piece of furniture with new dimensions, there are virtually infinite combinations.
My definitions take care of preparing the files for CNC cutting, so all that is left to do is assembly and finishing.

The Gerbil Sideboard
Catalina could not find a sideboard that would hold her gerbil cage, so she asked me for one.
She had been looking for dimensions that just do not really exist, and in the remote eventuality she did find it, she would probably have had to compromise and settle for a design she did not love.
Because we worked together, she was able to get the perfect dimensions, the style she wanted, as well as the wood and finish she had in mind. No compromise.
